Sabal Awards - Call for Nominations Now Open!

The Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Sabal Awards, to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions since the last Corridor Connect Summit (up to 24 months ago) for the protection, connection, and restoration of the Florida Wildlife Corridor. Winners will be announced during the 2025 Corridor Connect Summit. 

Nominations and applications are now open in four categories:

Legislator Award Nominate elected officials for outstanding conservation efforts and/or support of the Florida Wildlife Corridor.  

Innovative Partnership Award – $12,500
For organizations celebrating cross-sector collaborations that support Corridor success. 

Conservation Leadership Award – $12,500 
For organizations or individuals advancing Corridor conservation efforts. 

Community Choice Award – $3,000
Community voting before the Summit for a crowd-favorite individual or organization nominee from the following categories:

  • Landowner 
  • Land Management 
  • Emerging Leaders 
  • Grassroots 
  • Wild Florida Storyteller 
The Sabal Awards deliberation and decision process will be undertaken by a diverse group of individuals across multiple organizations to ensure fairness and representation. Finalists with have their 2025 Corridor Connect summit registration and hotel covered.
