Longleaf to Lighthouse Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition Day 0 - Kickoff Event at Tall Timbers

Yesterday, staff, partners, and supporters joined us at Tall Timbers to welcome our four elected official trekkers: Becky Troutman, Jack Porter, Rick Minor and Sean Parks.

Here they introduced themselves, told personal stories for why they are embarking on this trek, and spoke about how they look forward to learning more about the importance of the land and a connected Corridor.

We also heard from Edward Ornstein of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida who taught us about the history and tribal significance of this land these trekkers are about to traverse.

Thanks to our partners at Tall Timbers Research Station for hosting us and playing an essential role in making this expedition come to life.
