Longleaf to Lighthouse Florida Wildlife Corridor Expediton Day 4 - Wakulla Springs State Park & Wakulla River Paddle 💧
Our trekkers started the morning at Wakulla Springs State Park, a state park famous for one of the world’s largest and deepest springs.

Here they met up with springs advocate and underwater cinematographer Tessa Skiles for a lesson on Florida’s underwater world and how it is deeply tied to our land.
After the conversation they hiked the Sally Ward Trail, hopped on a boat tour of Wakulla Springs, and had fun jumping off the diving platform into the cool spring water.
We then made our way out of the state park to continue paddling the scenic Wakulla River with the original Florida Wildlife Corridor expedition trekkers Mallory Dimmitt, Carlton Ward Jr., and Joe Guthrie.
The night ended camping near the confluence of the Wakulla and St. Marks Rivers.
Tomorrow the trekkers complete the final stretch of their journey to the St. Marks Lighthouse!
