Longleaf to Lighthouse Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition Day 1 - Thomasville Launch & Red Hills Biking

We officially launched the Longleaf to Lighthouse Expedition at Paradise Park in downtown Thomasville, Georgia with a ribbon cutting and community bike ride through the Red Hills!

Karlos Bernart led our 4 trekkers and the bike riders across the winding clay roads then sent the trekkers off on their long journey through private lands with Tall Timbers Research Station. 

While they were trekking, conservation partners joined us at Hubs and Hops for a cross state conversation about Corridor connectivity and mapping across Alabama, Georgia, and beyond.

The day ended with the crew biking back into Florida and camping under the stars. Stay tuned for more updates from the field!
